Legendary Bert Kwouk (Kato in the pink panther movies) voiced Shen, the waterdragon. The design is a mix of him, a chinese dragon and my sideburns.
Michael Wyle did the concept drawings, I created a basic sculpt under Jon Easts supervision while Andrew Becker did some Paint FX R&D for Shen’s look.
We set up the facial rig to work with the image metrics production pipeline.Lewis Young ended up hand animating all shots as we couldn’t afford Image Metrics (and trust me, they were not expensive). More info on Spirit warriors here.
