Meet me at Ethical Consumer Conference in London !
I am going! Let’s have a chat if you are going too!
More info here: https://conference.ethicalconsumer.org.
This is what the lovely people from Ethical Consumer say about the conference:
“Can degrowth lead to a sustainable and fair future?
What can we learn from the new movements for degrowth?
As the consequences of ever more economic growth continue to take their toll on species and habitats around the world, what are the practical paths we can take towards a system that is more sustainable and fair?
Might degrowth be a disaster for the poorest, both here and in the global south? Or could societies thrive and grow in other ways instead? What role will governments and businesses play?
Connect with the ethical consumer community, to explore the concepts of degrowth, post growth and doughnut economics and examine what they might mean for consumers and producers across a range of sectors.”

New book out now: “Update democracy!!! A pledge for action and awareness”
More info HERE. Over the past few years, I have experienced a sense of powerlessness while observing the challenges democratic societies face globally. As my concerns deepened, I took the initiative to engage in some reading and research, gathering information I could then discuss with friends in person and online. I noticed that discussions and information about democracy were usually limited to academics and their presentations. This has fuelled a genuine desire to share and exchange ideas based on my research, motivating me to write and illustrate this book. I especially feel passionate about the need to present and discuss these questions in an accessible way and with the younger generation.
The book tries to do three things:
-Explain vital elements of a democratic society
-Give an update on the state of democracy in the world and the challenges it faces
-Motivate and encourage the pursuit of a more democratic world.
In a world grappling with pressing issues such as global warming, I think it’s crucial that we must unite to revitalise democracy. I trust that this book will ignite your inspiration to explore ideas that could shape its future. The book also includes some questions I keep asking myself. Maybe you are interested in asking them yourself and trying to find some answer. We are all part of a community of activists who have existed long before us and will continue long after we are gone, on the slow, gradual path to enlightenment
With over 100 illustrations
